CDP Awards 2024: BENTELER achieves highest rating
Since 2012, we’ve participated in the CDP rating with our business division Automotive, consistently enhancing our performance. Now it is time to celebrate: In 2023, we received an “A”-rating in the Climate Change category for the first time. Stefan Melchior, CFO BENTELER Automotive Components, recently accepted the award at the CDP Awards Europe.
BENTELER’s goal is to forge a more sustainable path for all of us – our employees, our customers, society. The award underlines the effectiveness of our activities. We are proud of our performance and will continue to build on our commitment.

Xiaomi SU7 with chassis components from BENTELER
The automotive industry is currently talking about one car in particular: the Xiaomi SU7. The first car from Xiaomi Technology recently celebrated its world premiere and generated around 50,000 pre-orders within half an hour of its release.
BENTELER is part of it. We supply chassis components such as front and rear subframes as well as links for the vehicle from our plants in China. Our engineers have worked closely with Xiaomi throughout the development process in order to ensure the highest quality.
Tony Shi, President of BENTELER Automotive Asia Pacific, said: "The launch of the SU7 is a milestone for Xiaomi and the Chinese e-mobility industry. As Xiaomi's partner, BENTELER has also taken a step forward in the e-mobility market.”
IFR Awards 2023: BENTELER honored
We have won one of the most prestigious awards for financial transactions in the world: BENTELER has been recognized in the "Europe High-Yield Bond" category at the prestigious IFR Awards 2023.
This award confirms the excellent work of all those involved in our successful refinancing last year: Following a global roadshow with investors from Europe and the USA, we as the BENTELER Group placed bonds worth the equivalent of EUR 975 million. Together with funds from another credit facility, we used the proceeds from the bonds to repay our existing restructuring liabilities in full – about two years earlier than planned.
On behalf of the entire company, Tobias Braun, Peter Mitterer (Group Treasurer) and David Nothegger (Team Lead Corporate Finance) accepted the award on Monday, March 18.
